So I've been thinking about this since it happened... and I've come up with the conclusion that sometimes you have to just be a bitch to get your point across. So for all that don't know and care, I write fanfiction. I don't post it hear because I'm just lazy... I post on FF.net and right now I'm really big on WWE fanfiction, Jack Swagger X Evan Bourne WWE fanfiction to be exact. For anyone that cares I have the details coming. I was writing this fic and during this time I read the ONLY other JackXEvan story on the ENTIRE site. Well, to be nice because she had no reviews I wrote one and then a few hours later posted my fic. I then updated said fic TWO (2) months later. Then I got a message from the girl that I had reviewed TWO months prior saying that I was copying her and plagiarized her work. Now, I have to say that I'm not one to go back and read the same fic that's only 1 chapter over and over and over and over again to become THAT familiar with it. So, she pretty much told me that I was taking her stuff and that I should at least say I got the inspiration from her fic. Now, I wouldn't have a problem with that if in fact I got the idea from her. In actuality if I took the idea from anyone I got it from one of my good buddies on FF.net Nero. So I told her that I was sorry that it seemed that way. There was one incident that could actually fuel her argument and that was we had a similar sentence about Evan being in the shower. Not exactly the same but similar. I was really upset about this and I PMed Nero to ask her if she could read hers and mine and see if I was just over reacting because I was so upset. Well Nero read it for me and PMed me back telling me that they had some similarities but they weren't major and the entire story line was completely different. During this time I was replying to this LONG PM this girl sent to me. Like I said I apologized and explained to her that I hadn't gotten the idea from her. As I told Nero, I've got some mad typing skills (A total joke) but I can't put out a chapter that quick. (The quickest I've ever put out a chapter is two days just so you know.)So I got another PM from this girl. She told me that she was going to go to the admins if I didn't at least link her. Well once again I PMed Nero because I was terribly upset again, after all, I don't want to lose a place to put my fics and I like all the people that I talk to on there.) As Nero put it "NO DON'T LINK HER!! She just wants attention because you have more reviews than her and yours is more popular." So, as Nero and my boyfriend had told me, I pretty much told her that I wasn't going to link her since I didn't get the idea from her, because I had written Jack and Evan as minor minor side characters about a week or two earlier in another fic(this was out before hers and mine) and the idea struck me to actually write one for them, that and they were in the ring a lot together and Jack Swagger is like 6'2" Evan is 5'9" C'mon it's a dream come true for me! I love height differences in couples! Well back on topic. I told her that I wasn't going to link her and that because I had more chapters I couldn't be stealing her idea if in fact her's wasn't out yet. I'm not a mind reader. I wish I was sometimes but really, I was not blessed with that at birth. I told her if she was the upset to go to the admins and talk with them about it. I haven't heard from her or the admins at all and this started the 18th. I didn't bring up the fact that my story had 9 reviews and her's had 2, and one was from me! I was so angry that because we had the only two stories with Jack Swagger and Evan Bourne as the main couple I was plagiarizing her stuff. Since then I had a PM saying that she was offline for a while. So, being smart (total sarcasm) I went to her profile and it said that she was taking a break from fanfiction because she was angry about the "plagarism business" and that she wasn't afraid to talk about it. That irked me because I hadn't said anything to anyone other than my family and Nero and I was keeping it between us so it didn't start a fight on FF.net like you see on YT videos and Facebook. So, what do you guys think? Fanfiction theft? Plagarism? Jealousy? Childness? Anyway, since this is a journal it is me venting and if you guys want to see what I'm talking about just send me a note and I'll send you the links to my story and hers and you can decide for yourselves. Either way it's irritating and honestly I'm fed up with people getting upset over stuff like that. I mean if she thought I was copying why wouldn't she PM me the day after she read my fic? Why wait until chapter 2 is out, TWO months later? I don't understand. Like I said it's just irritating. So what do you guys think? Am I overreacting or do you think that she's jealous that I had the most reviews? I'm not trying to make this out as some petty fight because, c'mon, I could care less about some chick in Ohio thinking I stole her shit. Since then I have put out two other stories with them and I am still waiting for a reply from her or the Admins about it. Give me your thoughts. I'm tired it's 4:45 AM.
